Luke Brattan smashed an 87th winner to break Melbourne Victory hearts and send Brisbane Roar fans into a frenzy.
A tough game with little chances – (perhaps one of the reasons being, Roar were without star striker Besart Berisha) came to life in the late stages in front of a crowd of nearly 18,000.
Replacing Berisha in attack was Henrique, who looked lively throughout but seemed to lack that killer punch that perhaps Berisha would have added.
In fact many of the crowd at suncorp stadium may have thought they may have to wait another week or so to see their orange warriors lift the title, but with time running out, they finally came up with the goods when it counted!
This now means that Brisbane Roar will compete in the AFC champions League for next season and will go into the play-offs for the major plate as firm favourites.
With the roar now having won 2 premierships and 2 championships, they have equaled Melbourne Victory and it could be said that the way their team fights, hassles and tenaciously approach all their games..there could be many more to come!
